>Bio<
After 45 years of making art, my bio is too lengthy and specific, so I’m including what I consider the highlights. I have a degree in Sculpture from The Cleveland Institute of Art and a MFA from Rhode Island School of Design. Between degrees, I had a 6 month apprenticeship in furniture design and furniture making in Denmark. I was also a Fellow at the Penland School of Crafts. In 1992 my husband and I started Random Orbit Studio where we produce limited edition wood furniture and accessories. We have made things together while still having a body of work separately. In 1995, I was awarded a Connecticut Commission on the Arts Fellowship for my solo work. As part of Random Orbit I’ve exhibited nationally, including shows at the Anchorage Museum of Art, The Fuller Craft Museum, the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco and the International Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe, as well as being included in numerous books and publications. I have work in collections held by the Cleveland Museum of Art, The Waskonium and by Bill Murray, the actor. In 2017, I had a solo show at Mariposa Galley in Albuquerque and my work is currently represented there. In 2019 I received an associates degree in Printmaking and Book Arts at the Santa Fe Community College.
> Blog< I would like to share a long time inspiration of mine, Ernest Haeckel and his book, Art Forms in Nature. My newer discovery is Anna Zemankova. I found a book with her art work and biography in the Czech Republic when I was visiting.
I’ve made a considerable amount of artwork, if you would like to see smaller work contact me. The year before Covid began, I printed the Disaster Series, prescient or not, disasters have abounded.
